D.I.Y. Spice, Herb, & Fruit Olive Oil Wedding Favors

To infuse your oil with spices, herbs, citrus, nuts, or vegetables like garlic you can use the stove top.

Before you begin make sure to clean & dry fruit/vegetables completely (possibly overnight to prevent bacteria), and to blanch any nuts or herbs you plan on using.

Heat your oil & herbs or spices in a medium sauce pan until the oil is lightly bubbling, for around five minutes. Once the mixture is cool, you can strain it into your containers.

Keep in mind that while placing sprigs of herbs into your containers will look amazing, it will cause the oil to become cloudy. And don't forget that if you're using citrus to use the zest too.

You can also infuse oil with spices using the oven at 300 degrees for around 40 minutes.

These easy D.I.Y. wedding favors will stay fresh if refrigerated for around one month.

Some great blends to consider include;
Basil, Pine Nuts, & Garlic | Chipotle Peppers, Raspberry, & Lime | Oregano, Basil, Garlic, & Rosemary | Blood Orange & Cardamom | Almond & Cranberry | Walnut, Basil, & Garlic
