A Rainbow of Retro Summer Bridesmaids Dresses from ModCloth.com

I love bright colors & retro dresses so I put together six dresses that are both, in order of the rainbow. They would all look perfect on bridesmaids in a summer wedding. All of the dresses are from ModCloth.com, each with tons of reviews.

Who doesn't want to be a Princess on their Wedding Day?

Almost every girl at one point wants to be a Princess for a day, and that day my friends is your wedding day. The set below, mostly consisting of handmade items from Etsy, is one of the most expensive I've ever put together...Looking like royalty doesn't come cheap.

The 'Cinderella Silk Wedding Gown' is made in Italy by the Maison Matthan Gori. The gown features 3 layers of natural fabric, chiffon silk on the outside, silk satin on the inside and a layer of white gabardine to cause a pinkish shimmer and retails for the price of $3,500.

Printable Wedding Invitation Sets Perfect for a Summer Wedding

Wedding Invitations are expensive with the average cost at $1 to $10 per printed invitation set, envelopes, & postage. You can save a lot of money by purchasing a printable wedding invitation set and I've chosen my five favorite sets from Etsy, all perfect for a summer wedding.

The 'Old Fashioned' set to the right is from the Fine & Dandy Paperie, retails for $90 including custom colors, a Reception Invitation, RSVP Postcard, Accommodations Card, & a Directions Card.

If you're going for a vintage wedding theme I'd suggest the 'Floral Vintage Wedding Invitation Set' from Artsy Printables.

This beautiful set includes the Invitation, an RSVP Card, & a Save the Date Card for only $45 and would be perfect for any rustic, garden, or backyard wedding.

Beautiful Ceremony & Reception for Less than $5,000, Weddings for Less

According to CNN, the cost of the average Wedding is now around $27,000 and I'm sure I'm not the only person who thinks this is ridiculous, if not impossible for most of us. Everyone has the right to get married and everyone should be able to do.

There are plenty of options to save money on your wedding and plenty of reasons to do so. On average the ceremony & reception venues, including catering, is the most expensive part of a wedding. Ceremony venues on average can cost $5,000 or more, so you save save a lot by having the ceremony in your (or a loved one's) backyard or at your local State Park.

Backyard Elegance, Country Chic Wedding & D.I.Y. Inspiration

Backyard elegance is far from contradictory. Your wedding can take place right at home (or at another loving relatives) and be absolutely beautiful. You also have the benefit of a free ceremony and reception site, not to mention the beauty of the outdoors. One of my best friends had hers right in her backyard and the lights she had from strung from the trees were amazing during the reception.

I could not get over how beautiful and inexpensive this Vintage Slip-Dress from Katie Jean Designs is. Not only is it made from entirely recycled materials, you can customize the length and it look's perfect for a warm summer night.

You can purchase both the Mason Jar Chandelier & Vials of Edible Honey Favors on Etsy as well or visit the D.I.Y. articles I found below.

I also found these amazing Custom Favor Gift Tags from Kindred Spirit Crafts and I can't think of anything more perfect for the Edible Honey Favors. For further presentation you can place them in a ceramic or metal bowl with foliage at the center of the table and they double as a beautiful centerpiece.

Simply Divine Invites has an amazing article about creating D.I.Y. Flavored Honey using everything from herbs to fruits. A quick search on Amazon for 'Glass Vials with Cork' and 'Organic Raw Honey' brought up everything else you'd need besides a little help from your friends and expecting to become quite sticky.

Need Something Blue? How About your Shoes?

If you're looking for 'the something blue' still, consider your shoes. If you plan on wearing  a long dress you might not see them all the time but you'll certainly be 'covered', and these shoes are unlike anything you can get at your local bridal store.

Featured to the left, are Betsey Johnson Wedge Pumps that will make everyone jealous with the polka dot upper and floral lower prints, retailing for around $100.

Vintage White Wedding: Inexpensive Etsy Inspiration

I've always loved birdcage veils & having a vintage themed wedding is a great reason to wear one! All of the items pictured are from Etsy and handmade.

The 1950's vintage style dress was made in Tacoma, WA by an accomplished seamstress. It features Silk Taffeta and Alençon lace; pairing perfectly with long silk gloves and a Fascinator. The beautiful clutch is made of green Dupioni Silk and can be fully customized including monogramming or a special date.

The jewelry is my favorite piece of this set because it's romantic, beautiful, and extremely inexpensive so you won't panic if you lose an earring in the grass.
